Blessed Pius IX (Senigallia, May 13, 1792 - + Rome, February 7, 1878) was the 255th Pope of the Catholic Church and the main benefactor of Don Bosco in the foundation of the Salesian Congregation. He was Pope for 31 years, being the longest pontificate of the history of the Church.
