Salesian Family is a group of institutions and associations that follow the spirituality, teaching and organization of Don Bosco and the Preventive System. The have also a great regard for the figure of Saint Francis de Sales.
Three of the groups of the Salesian Family were founded directly by Don Bosco: The Salesian Congregation, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the Association of Salesian Cooperators. One group, the Association of Past Pupils, was founded when Don Bosco was alived.
Other groups were founded after the dead of Don Bosco in 1888.
